On April 12, Techic debuted at the Leading 2026 International Future Mobility Design Forum. Jointly hosted by the EV100 Research Institute and Shanghai International Automobile City, the event was organized by Tongji University and the Shanghai Smart Mobility Design Valley Innovation Center.

Created by the Shanghai Smart Mobility Design Valley Innovation Center, Innohub·X, and the Techic CMF R&D Center, this exhibition was a focal point of the forum. It utilized three thematic pillars to illustrate how advanced productivity empowers automotive aesthetics.

This section focused on emerging processes and pioneering materials. By highlighting innovations such as bio-based materials and integrated 3D knitting, Techic demonstrated how lightweight, eco-friendly, and functional applications can redefine the sensory boundaries of the vehicle cockpit.

This area explored the translation of traditional crafts. By integrating intangible cultural heritage like ceramics, bamboo weaving, and lacquer into modern CMF design, Techic showcased the symbiotic beauty of ancient Eastern aesthetics and modern industrial production.
聚焦传统非遗工艺的活态转译研究，将陶瓷、竹编、大漆等东方技艺与现代生产体系深度融合，通过现代材料与工艺的创新应用，让千年传统工艺在汽车 CMF 设计中焕发当代美学生命力，诠释东方美学与现代工业共生共融之美。

Driven by smart technology, this theme displayed the results of CMF-inspired product incubation. The exhibit focused on smart surfaces and multi-modal interaction, using material iterations to enrich future mobility lifestyles.
在智能交互技术驱动下，展示汽车CMF启发跨界产品孵化成果，以科技与美学的深度融合。展区聚焦智能表面、多模态交互、多工艺整合等前沿方向，依托材料科技的迭代升级，丰富未来出行生活方式。
The exhibition attracted prominent figures including Zhang Yongwei of the EV100 Research Institute, Professor Liu Guanzhong of Tsinghua University, and Lou Yongqi, President of Shanghai University of Engineering Science. Design heads from major automakers such as SAIC, BAIC, FAW, XPeng, Xiaomi, and Chery also attended. Harrison Zhang, Creative Director at Techic, provided professional insights during the tours.

A major centerpiece was the humanoid robot smart skin independently developed by Techic. Through innovative knitting textures and optimized elasticity parameters, the skin achieves a seamless, full-body wrap that adapts to robot joint movements. It integrates functional yarns to provide interactive and hydrophobic properties, offering a comprehensive CMF solution for robot structures and aesthetics.

Eason Gao, CEO of the Techic CMF R&D Center and Director of Innohub·X, delivered a keynote speech titled CMF Innovation Expression. He outlined a strategic path for Chinese design as it transitions from technical catch-up to cultural leadership.

Smart mobility encompasses more than just cars, including low-altitude flight, yachts, and robots. To experience the future of smart mobility, one should visit the Design Valley Innovation Center, stated Gao Maosen.
